We will arrange visits to places of interest in the Cromer region on Friday and Monday should you be interested – details will be available later.

With best wishes and looking forward to a wonderful weekend at Cromer—

Healing from Hurricane Katrina Using Flower Essences

We are pleased to present two reports featuring the generous work of practitioners and individuals who served, and continue to serve, others in need. These reports also affirm the positive effects of flower essences on the lives of people in New Orleans as they recover their health following the impact of Hurricane Katrina.

The Role of Flower Essences in Rebuilding a Healthy Community

Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach. Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely. …. To display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these – to be fierce and to show mercy toward others, both, are acts of immense bravery and greatest necessity. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it.
—Clarissa Pinkola-Estes

Using Flower Essences in a Community Near Lima, Peru

Dr. Carlos Hilares wanted to have his own clinic, providing not only good alternative health care, but also kind, respectful “treatment” at low cost to the patient. He carried this dream for many years and in 2005, using his own saved money, built Natural Medic Clinic in a very poor community in Villa el Salvador. Flower essences are proving to be very useful at the clinic and for practitioner Consuelo Rios. Read more here.

Children and Flower Essence Therapy

Read a report by Rosana Vieira regarding a new art program initiated at Núcleo Mãe Maria in Campinas, Brazil. This project, originally proposed by Rosana to honor the 120th birthday of Dr. Bach, has given her great joy while observing the excitement of the children, their motivation in doing the art exercises and also the benefits it has provided them.

My daughter Emma is now 8 years old. Her birth was very difficult and stressful; we experienced a 30 hour labor. As a result, her head was swollen and the doctors had to drain her lungs. Emma was and is a sensitive child. She is sensitive to many things including foods, chemicals, animal dander and environmental pollutants. She came into this world choosing a difficult path! She appears to be an old soul with much to learn and much to teach…

This detailed report illustrates that there is not a remedy “for” asthma, but rather a soul process in which the emotional life finds a new center of identity. Read Resolving Childhood Asthma: Emma Finds New Balance with Flower Essences.

Flower Essence Case Studies

Review an outstanding case by Chieko Kobayashi illustrating the soul causes of panic disorder. It also shows how the practitioner’s skill as a healer, along with the flower essences, helped to bring about the client’s stability.
Read a report by Italian practitioner Donatella Tordoni in which she describes her understanding of the plants and their use in the Illumine Light Balancer flower essence formula.

Miho Kawakami's case outlines the incremental transition of consciousness from physical suffering to soul awareness. It illustrates that in some cases there appears to be stasis or setbacks, which ultimately become resolved. These are typical healing patterns to be expected and in this case, they were addressed quite well.

Animal Therapy

Read Treating Thunder Phobic Animals with Flower Essences, a reprint of an article written by practitioner Kathy Edstrom.

Practitioner Profile: Dr. Arthur Young

Dr. Arthur Young has been involved in veterinary medicine for almost 60 years and has had decades of experience observing animal patients and the profession as a whole. Read Transitioning Animal Care from Traditional Veterinary Practice to Holistic Therapies.

The other feral cats that I rescued were impossible to handle as they were terrified and totally wild…

New! The Twelve Healers
a DVD produced by Julian Barnard

Click here to view a larger image.

This newly-produced DVD by Julian Barnard is a delightfully inspiring compilation of video vignettes of Dr. Bach’s Twelve Healers. The images and photographic techniques are truly amazing and give us a window into the world of each of the flower remedies. In addition, sprinkled throughout the series, are comments by Nickie Murray on the qualities of the remedies.

In the videos we tried to get a balance between stating the obvious and allowing people to see what they can for themselves.

It has also been a long-term intention for me in teaching to say enough to lead people to the verge of understanding but then leave them to make the discovery for themselves.

Even if people never take an essence there is still the hope that they will reconsider what is the connection which we have as humans with the plant kingdom. —Julian Barnard
