Poem: Shasta Lilly

Shasta Lily
by Shannon Thompson

Goddess of luminescence
           moon beam, love and light
fill my chalice, my body
           with your cool flowing waters
meet me in the void at the core of my being.
Let me hear your voice,
in the whispering of the wind,
           the roaring of the tide
anoint me with your
           sweet and spicy fragrance.
Dance like white fire
           inside my thighs
           deep in my womb…
Rising up to meet the heavens at my crown

I surrender to you, white goddess,
Within my heart and soul…
and in this surrendering
           find greater strength
In silence
           find the wisdom of Sophia.
In receiving
unite the male and female of my being.
Bless me, Great Goddess
